Dallas wedding proposal photography
Welcome to engagement season in Dallas, Texas at The Dallas Arboretum! It is that time of year when the flowers are starting to bloom, love is in the air and couples are updating their relationship status. I just love Dallas wedding proposal photography just as much as Dallas Wedding Photography. It’s like knowing a secret before anyone else. Being able to capturing those raw, real, authentic, and genuine emotions is such a gift. The proposal lasts only seconds. There are no do-overs. I mean, I guess we could stage things after the fact, but where’s the authenticity of that? Every single proposal we have done has been pretty different and we are ever so grateful for that. I get asked frequently after photographing the proposal, “whats the most unique story you’ve ever heard?”. I will now be able to use this particular proposal story as one. It was elaborate and it was so good. I would venture to say the bride will be wondering what was fact and what was fiction for a few months!
The wedding proposal
I was “Dr. Zimmerman” in his phone. They were headed to a special dinner with medical professionals. I got the text “we are in the parking lot”. My heart began to race for them. It was about to happen. I knew I had seconds after I saw them walk up to find an inconspicuous position, but it was less. They walked in to the Poetry Garden at the Dallas Arboretum and what seemed liked a half second later, he was pulling the ring box out of his pocket. I started to run. My shutter actually released mid-run. It was happening. She said YES, y’all and it was so very sweet to document! I waited patiently for Tim to motion towards me and then I could move in and congratulate the newly engaged couple. It really never gets old being a part of the most special moments in someone’s life. I am so very happy to be there and be a small part! Wishing you all many years of love and laughter and may each day be better than the last!
