They say its lucky if it rains on your wedding day. This spring was the rainiest year in Texas history and this wedding was outside and going to happen rain or shine.
This wedding was in Springtown, just outside of Fort Worth, Texas. Springtown is a city in Wise and Parker County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,665 at the 2010 census.
Meet Jake and Teaaira. I’ve known Jake for about 9 years. I first met him when his parents hired me for their vow renewal and he was just a young sweet guy. We met again when I photographed him as a Senior in High School and when I got the phone call that he was engaged and they wanted me to photograph the wedding, my heart swelled with pride for him. He’s an adult. I couldn’t wait to meet this girl who had the heart of this special person I watched grow into a man. I met Jake and Teaaira for their richardson, texas engagement session and a week later, we met again for the wedding. The skies were filled with big puffy clouds, and the rain was miles away in the forecast. The couple was able to complete one of the most heartfelt first looks I have ever witnessed (I gasped and cried at this one!), recite their vows to one another and do their portraits with me before the sky opened up with heavy rains. Jake and Teaaira had smiles on their faces that the rain couldn’t wash away. They were surrounded by their closest friends and family as they said “Forever” to one another. Wishing you all many years of love and laughter and may each day be better than the last!
