I am so excited to share this sweet session with you all. Monica and Austin are getting married in the Bahamas next year and I am so very fortunate to be able to go along with them to make some magical images. I first met Monica last year at her sister, Andrea’s Milwaukee wedding. She invited me up to Milwaukee for their engagement portraits and to get to know them a little more. The weather was in and out of craziness, but we were very fortunate to skip any rain during our portrait session. I loved spending time with these two and Emmy, their sweet pup! She (Emmy, not Monica) gave kisses and even sweetly guarded the engagement ring in a few photos! One of the beautiful parts about Milwaukee is Lake Michigan and I had been stoked to see it for months. I did get a birds-eye view from the plane, but the fog got so heavy during the session, I wasn’t able to see the water. I was able to hear it from the bluffs though. Speaking of this fog … it was so beautiful. I’d dreamed of shooting in fog like this for a long time and it really snuck up on us. One minute it was clear and then it was dropped like a blanket in the woods the next. It was beautiful and these two are as well.
