Emotions were in the air. A super-moon was poking through the clouds and Ethan and Rachel said “I do”. We made our way from Dallas to photograph this gorgeous Oklahoma wedding. They were married at Fort Washita, a historic fort in Oklahoma. We photographed a portion of their engagement session there back in November with a couple more stops along the way. These two lovebirds have a lot of history (both family and together) in Durant, Oklahoma. Durant is much like the town I grew up in (before moving back to Dallas, Texas)…small, rich in history and most of the older buildings are still in use. For her bridal portraits we visited Wildwood Ranch on a beautiful spring day and took full advantage of the gorgeous outdoors and natural light. Elisa Griffith did her flawless makeup. Rachel’s stunning, timeless, romantic dress complete with beautiful lace details was from Allure Bridals.
We met up with the guys on the wedding day at Chocktaw Casino in Oklahoma. The gals were at Rachel’s childhood home. Her childhood home has been her family since the 1800’s in Downtown Durant, Oklahoma. After the guys and gals were all dressed, we made our way to the Fort and took full advantage of the beautiful day for the outdoor natural light formal portraits. All of the details from the day were great. So many thoughtful decor items and family heirlooms throughout the entire wedding. We were honored to be a part of your gorgeous day and we felt like family while photographing your wedding. We wish you both a lifetime of love and laughter and may each day be better than the last.
