I am so thrilled to share this Texas Hill Country wedding with you all today. Kathryn and Ben were married deep in the heart of Texas near Austin in Lago Vista. They were surrounded by such a warm group of family and friends. As I was driving from Austin to Lago Vista, the hills wrapped around the road and I was in complete awe of the marvelous views. I arrived with Kathryn and her girls and a few houses down the guys were mixing it up with lots of laughs and jokes. The girl’s rental house was peaceful, quiet, and lots of pretty shoes, dresses, and you know….girl stuff. I always know which room the girls are in by the smell of hairspray, body splash and perfume. The guys….well I can usually hear them as I get close. Ben is Air Force and most of his groomsmen were as well. Kathryn’s dad drove his ultra cool antique Sting Ray Corvette from Dallas (assuming with top down). Speaking of convertibles …. be sure to check out Kathryn’s wedding gown. Its a convertible dress. She removed the longer skirt after their first dance so she could dance a little easier. Lots of super unique details….they exited with paper airplanes, the ring barer wore a tiny little guy fly suit, lavender EVERYWHERE, lavender infused honey, lavender colors, lavender just filled the air at the reception, and one of the coolest bands ever! They played lots of current pop hits, with a kind of singer-songwriter feel to it. After they got back from their honeymoon, we met up again in Gainesville, Texas at a Lavender farm for some “day after” portraits with just two of them. It was such an honor to work with this couple. I wish you both a lifetime of love and laughter and may each day be better than the last!
