Lets start with this bride emails me for more information about Dallas wedding photography and asks if I am available for her engagement and bridal sessions. In the sentence just before above said request she states she and her fiance Matt are getting married next year in Belize. (hold all the celebratory cartwheels until reading further!) When we talked on the phone she told me they already had a close friend of the family for the wedding in Belize, and they wanted to only have their portraits here in the Dallas area. Dying to get some more stamps on my passport, I really tried to convince her how awesome it would be should they take me there (photographing the wedding or just hanging out with them). I sent her a few location ideas and they picked White Rock Lake. Toward sunset the lake has almost a golden glow to it. Well, we will always have the Bath House Cultural Center at White Rock Lake….HA!
Meet Annie and Matt. The two of them arrived to the session with such great style and I was instantly drawn to Annie’s dress. It really had a nautical look so we made our way down to the docks and had the sail boats on White Rock Lake in the background. We photographed near the water for a bit and then back for an outfit change. The two slipped into a more casual look and we were off to the grassy fields filled with wildflowers. Matt and Annie really have a sweet and honest connection and spending the afternoon with them was so much fun. Lots of laughs, lots of movie quotes, and even an old reference to American Gladiators. Matt said he was Turbo…ha! I just love it when the groom says, “that was fun!”. Success! You both were a joy and I wish you both a lifetime full of love and laughter and may each day be better than the last.
