The sneak peek for this Dallas underwater portrait shoot went live a few days ago and I have had a chance to go through them all and pick my favorites from the underwater maternity session with Arden, another super-talented Dallas Photographer! This was round two for this gorgeous preggo lady. We tried underwater portraits for the first time a last month, but her belly wasn’t quite pregnant enough. Gia made a custom skirt for this shoot that we are able to use again for another shoot if it calls for it. The fabrics from all of the outfits are very flowy and really look dreamy and whimsical. I am thrilled with the results of this session and so excited to have had this opportunity to shoot underwater again. The skin tones are natural and processing is minimal for this session. We were able to use all available light for these underwater portraits. This time we had the wonderful Shannon from Something-you join us and she worked her makeup magic. Makeup does well underwater as long as you don’t touch it after you have been under the water. I just can’t get enough of these underwater shoots and we are already planning for the next one. Look for more from Gia and me very soon 🙂
I have also included one of the behind the scenes shots with Gia in the scuba gear. If you look closely, you can see most of the details to make the shoot happen. Each time we have made minor adjustments to make the setup more efficient. Next week we are planning to shoot a non-pregnant model. I can’t wait to go dunk myself again in all of this creative projects.
