I was in Austin this past weekend photographing Ben and Kathryn’s wedding. Driving through the rolling hills of Lago Vista, I caught myself dreaming about the day and how beautiful it was going to be. I rang the doorbell and Kathryn’s face was beaming with excitement about the wedding. She was about to marry her best friend and I was invited to have a front row seat. Her dress was amazing! She wore a convertible wedding dress … ahhh! it was magnificent! The families stayed in homes that overlooked breathtaking Lake Travis and it was so wonderful to watch as all of the family members played a huge role in the wedding. Her father drove his vintage green Corvette from the Dallas area to Austin a few days before, the guest folded paper airplanes for the grand exit from the Church, and her Mom even had a sewing machine on hand to sew finishing touches for the wedding programs. The guests were able to take lavender infused honey home as favors from the wedding reception (that smelled incredible!). Ben had a B-52 cake. Most of the men wore party shirts (scroll down for a visual of that). It was a beautiful wedding!
Enjoy this sneak peek from their Austin wedding.
