Engagement Session in Houston with Trishia and Mike

I visited Houston this past weekend to photography Trishia and Mike. These two are unbelievably cute together and so nice. We started mid-week messaging each other back and forth about the weather…the unpredictable Texas weather. Every day on the forecast was sunny and warm. Saturday showed to have an 80 percent chance of rain, high winds and chilly temperature. The drive down from Dallas was getting darker, colder, and wetter. I was about an hour from Houston when the skies cleared, the sun came out and winds died down a bit. I met Trishia and Mike downtown at The Rice Crystal Ballroom and we started our session at the Empire Room. The plush furniture and dramatic lighting really made this session luxe and sexy. Trishia’s purple gown was stunning and the delicate fabric flowed nicely in the wind when we stepped out on the balcony for a few portraits with Downtown Houston and The Crystal Ballroom as the backdrop.

We then made our way over to Hermann Park in Houston and got some really interesting looks as the guys carried this amazing couch through the park. I saw several other photographers stopping mid-click during their sessions to see what we were doing. I am a fan of being different and so is Trishia. She wanted to have a few fun shots of her putting on her makeup and Mike playing with an Xbox controller. Trishia a wonderful artist in Houston and is the proud owner/artist for Winx Lashes…so its only fitting we added makeup in some way 🙂 We were just in time for the golden hour and got that warm golden light at the park. Thank you both for making this session so fun and I can’t wait for your wedding in November!
