Karen + Gary were married in September in Allen, Texas and then we went over to a little piece of Dallas, TEXAS history known as Southfork Ranch . You won’t want to miss out on the next parts of this wedding. We had a tremendous time getting these folks to open up (insert sarcasm here! - They were just so camera shy! ) Karen is a dancer and all of her bridesmaids are as well (her sister says she isn’t, but I saw her on the dance floor!). Gary and all of his groomsmen were fun group of guys also! During our formal pictures I was telling Gary how awesome his hair was and one of the groomsmen piped up, “He’s about to get married, back off!” Karen + Gary wanted to see each other before the ceremony and it was so relaxed and wonderful for them to have some great portraits beforehand. We did a FIRST and SECOND first look (one staged outside so we could have some wonderful natural light). Enjoy these images from their special day. THUMBS UP EVERYONE!
Here is part2 of Lee + Stephanie’s wedding (part1 is HERE). We were at a few places for pictures on their wedding day, so be sure to stop by the blog to see part3, its another location as well! Our first stop was Carrollton First Baptist Church to get them married, then we went over to the Family Center at the Church to have a reception, THEN we were able to go to the Las Colinas Canals on the way to the reception to take some fun bridal party pictures! THIS WAS THE HOTTEST DAY IN AUGUST, but everyone still looks gorgeous. I was a hot mess behind the camera, but nobody was taking pictures of me except for Andrew . For those of you stalking my blog looking for your sneak peeks….they are on the way! This week is going to be crazy blog post week
We started their session at the Dallas Arboretum and then hit two spots they made it to on their first date. The lamp post in the last image just makes me all mushy when I look at it. I was privy to a little bit of the story behind it. Brandi and Holman are so in love and it is written all over them! I seriously got goosebumps hearing their story. I might have cried a little bit too! I am a sucker for lovey-dovey sappy stories 
I have to make sure to keep it together for their wedding this weekend. I need to be able to see the images I am taking! Brandi has THE MOST CONTAGIOUS SMILE! Today was supposed to be a fun Day After Session at the Fair, but alas the rain rained on our parade! We improvised by shooting at Mockingbird Station and drawing quite the crowd at times. I had so much fun meeting all of you and cant wait to see some of your fun images! Thanks again, Tamra and Tyler (& Sophie!) for being rockstars!!!

I love wedding days! Today Karen is going to marry Gary and I get to go spend the day with two people in love and happy! Who doesn’t want to be surrounded by happy people?!?!?
Karen was more than prepared for our bridal session together. Her Aunt lives in Prosper, Texas and we shot her and Gary’s eSession there. I was shooting then and decided the bridals were going to have to take place at her house….I hope we are BFF’s now, because she has so many cool things to play with! If you see a tent in your backyard and lights flashing during the day, don’t be alarmed….you might have a photographer camping out! We were setting up the first scene when Karen shared the news we would also be playing with a horse! WHAT? That’s just crazy! I was so excited about this session! Karen, you are a superstar! I better stop now while my “exclamation!” key on my keyboard still works!!!

Does this set of images really need text? I was blown away by what I had to work with on Sunday – it was totally worth it to only get a few hours of sleep after shooting a wedding stag the night before. Yep….enjoy this set until you get to see the real deal – it was such a treat to work with such a fun gal!

meet karen + gary (you have had a brief introduction here), but this is the formal intro for these two lovebirds. Gary brought props, but not just any prop, he brought his music to the session! I usually like to listen to my iPhone while I work, but not this time. I was trying to name that tune while I was shooting and guessed a few, but I really need to stick to photography and not music trivia. One of Gary’s requests was that I make sure he wasnt playing an “easy” chord while I was shooting…hope this one is a hard one, Gary!
we started shooting at karen’s amazing aunt’s home in Prosper and then made a few more stops along the way, her house was a photographer’s dream come true! GOOD CALL ON THE LOCATION, KAREN! loved, loved, loved it! karen is the winner of the “take me away, Amy” bridal, so we will be most likely going back to this photo-dream-land to do those. I loved our session together and I can’t wait for your wedding in September….it’s going to be fabulous!
