rebecca + matthew | WEDDING AT OLD RED IN DALLAS sneak peek!

Rebecca and Matthew’s wedding was April 24th at Old Red Courthouse in Downtown Dallas.  I was still recovering from my appendectomy just days before and was not the photographer that shot their wedding, but Allison Davis did a fantastic job helping me out and stepping up as a great friend when I needed it the most. Here’s a sneak peek from the wedding files I JUST picked up from her. More to come…she did an incredible job!

mallory | BABY

I love shooting babies….with my camera! The joys of being a parent are over-whelming when you get to experience seeing your little one grow up. Turning one is a HUGE deal! I wish I could bottle up all the things I experience with my little fella, thank goodness I have pictures to look back on all the milestones. Enjoy this little gem, Mallory! Her mom, works at Old Red Courthouse in Downtown Dallas, so we were able to go play there for her one year portraits.

leighanna + ben | WEDDING pt2

Ok, reason #4156 this bride rocks; She walked down the aisle to a string quartet performing a little ditty called Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen!  Then she handed off her bouquet to her Man of Honor and didn’t take it back, even after the pronouncement of Husband and Wife.  So guess who had to carry them down the aisle?  Jesse!  I LOVE THIS GIRL!  I noticed during editing that a person was peering down from the 4th floor window of Old Red…..I see dead people!  Take a close look at the photo, do you see dead people?  Or is this an old boyfriend?!  I could have shot them all night against those black and white tiles.  Simply marvelous.  It just shouted nostalgia.  Thanks for swinging in and checking out part duex of Leighanna and Ben’s day.  Coming soon to a blog near you, same time, same channel, is part 3.  Don’t forget to leave the couple some blog lovin’ before you split.  It’ll make me feel all warm and gushy!

leighanna + ben | WEDDING pt1

You were briefly introduced to leighanna + ben { here }. Now the time has come for the formal introduction, drum roll please……

They were married on a beautiful July day that surely was created just for them.  All the particulars were in place; the Historic Old Red Courthouse in downtown Dallas, brown tuxedos, family heirlooms, and a few pair of Chuck Taylors to round it all out.  No detail was overlooked or out of place.  Well, maybe a few things were out of place.  Ben had a Best Woman while Leighanna brought her Man of Honor.  A little out of the ordinary for most, but not for them.  For them they were surrounded by the ones they love and the ones that love them.  With all this love, warmth, and joy, there was an abundance of astonishing photographs taken throughout the day.  I feel fortunate to have been a part of something so wonderful.  Especially because Leighanna’s original photographer fell through at the last minute and I was lucky enough to have been chosen to document this occasion.  I know you will all enjoy these images as much as I do.  Don’t forget to stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 when we get to see them party into the night.  (The names and faces of those images will not be changed to protect the innocent! :P ) Don’t forget to leave them some blog love!
