Shannon from Something-You worked a marathon bridal session the day before with me. We had so many great ideas for locations, but the one I was super stoked about was Joe T Garcia’s. I had been there once and remembered thinking, as I was sipping on a frozen margarita, “I would love to shoot here some day!” Shannon said, “I can get us a pass to shoot there…” seriously? I had a tough time narrowing this blog post down, so I didn’t…enjoy!

We started our session off in Downtown Dallas in Deep Ellum. These two were having so much fun we almost missed the sunset over at Winfrey Point. Jeff managed to ask me some scary questions about shooting downtown (I knocked on wood), Christine brought the hotness and I loved every minute of it. Thank you for the fun afternoon you two!

Meet Dena ♥ and ♥ Johnny! They are the fabulous couple to won a session with me during Alice in Weddingland event benefiting Brides Against Breast Cancer. We had to reschedule our session because my appendicitis had alternative plans for us. They are getting married on a boat (LUCKY) this fall. I learned some dance moves from Johnny and Dena was a sweetheart with tons of patience. Including patience for Downtown Dallas traffic rendering me a little late to our session. They were able to have a refreshing (adult) beverage while they waited so it loosened them up a bit for our engagement session together.

I was so excited to FINALLY meet Megan and Sherman. She sent me an inquiry for wedding photography several months ago after finding me on facebook, but I was already booked. We tried to make it work to photograph her wedding, but June is a busy month for brides. She did choose a fantastic photographer and I am confident they will do a terrific job. Being able to photograph her engagement session at the McKinney Cotton Mill was super and we just finished her bridal session (steammmmmy!) at the Dallas Arboretum. Those won’t be shared until late June, but they are worth the wait; she rocked it in her Maggie Sottero dress!

Christine and Jeff brought the hot to our engagement session together. They told me before we started they needed a lot of instruction. Based on this sneak peek…I say I don’t think so. They worked it for my camera! More to come later from this couple. We had a fun time frolicking around Deep Ellum in Downtown Dallas, then over to a sunset session at Winfrey Point just in time for that “golden hour”.

I am not sure if it gets any cuter than this happy couple. Brent and Ashley found me through Jessica. When Brent and Ashley sat with me over bagels at Einstein’s in Plano, I listened to Brent gush about their wedding plans. I am so fortunate as a photographer to have couples so involved with the actual wedding planning process. Brent, I think it truly awesome for you to be so involved. After our carb overload, we talked about locations for the engagement session and the Las Colinas Canals was the winner. You two are fun, sexy and dramatic and I think you both could have a future in modeling.

sidenote :: I shot Ashley’s bridals earlier this week….HOT! Wait for that one, your eyes my fall out of your face, its so hot!

This was the engagement session I photographed on the Sunday before my “incident” with my appendix. I am excited to share this sneak peek with you of Megan and Sherman. Leave these guys some blog love…they were a ton of fun!

Kacie and John are two folks that could get me in trouble as a photographer. Their willingness to go ANYWHERE in Dallas I (or they) suggested made our engagement session an absolute blast! The Meyerson was a treat. We arrived and were a little under the gun to shoot and get out due to another event scheduled for the evening. We worked around all of the decorations and managed to find some fun places! Enjoy the show and thanks for stopping by.

The Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas has such a rich color palette and all the history of this hotel is so fascinating. We had to take advantage of the big red couch, because its Kacie’s favorite color!

Meet Mark.

Together they are Julie + Mark = totally awesome!!! They met at K-State and have been inseparable ever since. This is the fabulous couple that ran through a fountain for me. It was totally worth it :: the ring shot is KILLER!

And meet Claire….I couldn’t resist taking pictures of her. Isn’t she fun??? We actually planned this to show her how quickly you need to engage your subject and we talked about posing as well. She’s an old pro at posing, so she knew the drill. AND she now gets to sport a cool new image in her bio section of her webpage

We started their session at the Dallas Arboretum and then hit two spots they made it to on their first date. The lamp post in the last image just makes me all mushy when I look at it. I was privy to a little bit of the story behind it. Brandi and Holman are so in love and it is written all over them! I seriously got goosebumps hearing their story. I might have cried a little bit too! I am a sucker for lovey-dovey sappy stories I have to make sure to keep it together for their wedding this weekend. I need to be able to see the images I am taking! Brandi has THE MOST CONTAGIOUS SMILE! I just cant help but smile when I look at these images. we started shooting at karen’s amazing aunt’s home in Prosper and then made a few more stops along the way, her house was a photographer’s dream come true! GOOD CALL ON THE LOCATION, KAREN! loved, loved, loved it! karen is the winner of the “take me away, Amy” bridal, so we will be most likely going back to this photo-dream-land to do those. I loved our session together and I can’t wait for your wedding in September….it’s going to be fabulous!
