My good buddy Brad called and needed me to come out to his launch party for BuyLEDs.com and document the fun-filled evening. It was a complete success. The turn-out was great and many people came together to make it a smashing success! The space was showered in lights and color. The guests couldn’t get enough of the LED dance floor….I even busted a few moves out there Thanks so much for having me. It was nice to see familiar faces and meet some awesome new ones.

Mont Blanc has some of the most beautiful watches I have ever photographed or seen for that matter! I visited the North Park Store in Dallas yesterday with an invite from Jenn Sprinkle, Waxpaper Design House. I was able to meet Dallas Cowboy, Andre Gurode at the event. Grey Goose was there with a mixologist showing the guests how to make delicious cocktails themselves! YUM!

A portion of the proceeds from all of the sales last night benefited Center of Attention. Andre is the founder and CEO of the foundation. COA is dedicated to the advancement of underprivileged and at-risk youth through a safe, positive environment.  COA is committed to educating and increasing awareness of key issues affecting youth, including initiatives to aid children that have been homeless, placed in the foster care system, and those who are victims of abuse.

Super Bowl XLV Weekend in Dallas is upon us….two parties in two days and benefiting many great causes.

Last week the book was revealed for all to see and I was able to catch up with several of these creative Dallas women at the CRAVE Launch party at Hickory Street Annex in Dallas. This was an incredible to project to be a part of. You may remember a couple of months ago when I posted about a shoot I did in Dallas for Tart Bakery. Tuesday marked the official reveal of the completed project. CRAVE innovatively connects urban gals to the sassiest, gutsiest, most inspiring people they need to know in Dallas. So many wonderful wedding professionals and non wedding pros contributed to make this an incredible night. The project is called CRAVE; its the Urban Girl’s Manifesto, a unique and stylish guidebook for Dallas living complete with real-life examples of amazing women around the City who will help satisfy your next craving. Working with Jenn Sprinkle was an honor. She has a genuine heart and is now my networking mentor … that girl can connect! I enjoyed watching her as the day unfolded and how proud she was about the huge accomplishment of the Dallas book. I was also SUPER excited to have one of my very good photog friends come out and join me for the festivities. Lora Ayers makes my sides hurt from laughter and that’s a great sidekick to have along to any event Thanks, Lora!

I am overjoyed to share these images with you. I have been sitting on them for several months and they almost burned a whole in my hard drive! This has been one of the most exciting projects I have worked on. I have done several commercial jobs, but being on set at CityPlace in Dallas with gorgeous wedding gowns from the Bridal Salon at Stanley Korshak, killer designer shoes, and fashion forward menswear was at the top of the charts. The team was amazing. I was so honored to be able to collaborate with Texas Wedding Guide; they had a very clear vision when it came to this shoot. They gave me several tear sheets to reference during the shoot for posing and lighting ideas. The wonderful makeup and styling was by the fabulous Shannon Caldwell with Something-You. Lilium Floral Design did a fantastic job with these very modern bridal bouquets. All of the stunningly hip furniture was from P.O.S.H. Couture Rentals.

I speak the truth when I say things look different in print…especially glossy magazine paper. Go pick up a copy of Texas Wedding Guide to get all of the details about these wedding gowns, shoes, & accessories. You will also see what a great team this was to work with. They are on shelves now.

Gia’s plane came screeching into Dallas from LAX on Tuesday in the wee hours of the morning. LaDonna got her all made up for our session! And viola….meet the gorgeous, Gia! Last year she contacted me about doing the photography for her business promotion she was having filmed. I LOVED being on the set and working in this environment. You can go view the behind the scenes post here. This year we needed to add some shiny new headshots for her website. Mission accomplished…you look stunning

One of the projects that has been keeping me busy as of late is helping out with a book called CRAVE. They have a Dallas edition and they are rapidly approaching the deadline to get fabulous Women Entrepreneurs of Dallas to join the book. There are not many spots left for these great women of Dallas. Be sure to check out their business page on facebook (CRAVE Dallas). Today I shot the business profiles for three different women in Dallas. Each was more diverse from the last. I started my morning in a cosmetics lab, then went to smell the sweet scent of tarts and candy, then off to see some fine merchandise (Jimmy Choo and Manolo were a few of the great labels). My morning was fun. This book has such a diverse group of women… if you have not checked it out, be sure to stop over and see what I mean here.

This profile was for Tart Bakery in Dallas – Kristen was so sweet and accommodating. She even sent me off with a few fantastic treats (lemon meringue tart…thank you, it was incredible!)

I normally shoot weddings, but every now and then I get a call to do something different. Commercial work is a lot different than portraiture or weddings for me because everything I normally do with my portrait and wedding clients goes out the window when I am shooting commercially. I really enjoyed working with Lois and hearing about the company she is about to launch. They specialize in going into your home and redesigning what you already have.

These next images were shot by Jason Anderson of JA2Photography. He was there to help me out and ended up shooting a ton of fabulous images himself. He wanted to come along to get some posing ideas for his own photography business and these girls really posed it up for us!
