We had an absolute blast shooting Cindy and Raul’s wedding yesterday. I wanted to share a couple of images with this gorgeous husband and wife! Thank you for choosing us and may you both be filled with joy and happiness! It was a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful day.

Dallas Photog Shootout | Sneak Peek!
Yesterday I had the pleasure to work along side some amazing wedding professionals in Dallas for the Photog Shootout at The Ryan Manor in Dallas. Rob “Ninja” Nicholson was such a blast to work with and travels the US having these shoot-outs in major cities. It was a fun project to collaborate with some great wedding people!
Catie Ronquillo, Natasha Brown, Anna Routh, and I were the tentacles in Dallas to make the workshop happen. A lot of planning went into this event and it was a huge success! Emily Hudspeth was one of the 3 make-up artists that worked her magic and transformed this shoot to a vintage 1940′s theme. Catie and I visited the very fun store, Dallas Vintage Shop to find these fabulous outfits for the models to wear. Jason Huang, Heather Essian, and I were the teachers for the 30 plus photographers eager to soak up the fun.
Here is just a sneak peak of some of the fun we had…more to come!
cortney, bryan, and bryant | DOWNTOWN DALLAS FAMILY PORTRAITS
Guess who is turning FIVE? Its Bryant…you may recognize this handsome young guy because he has graced the pages of www.amykarp.com a few times. The first time was back in 2007 and then again in 2008 and again in 2008. Is it possible to for someone to get cuter and cuter each time you see them? Seriously! We spent the afternoon in Downtown Dallas for our family portrait session together.
one day I am going to be able to say, “I remember him when…”
Happy Birthday, Bryant and thank you for choosing me to document another milestone
sarah + chase | WEDDING IN GARLAND pt2
I am having a bit of writers block with post, but the pictures will certainly speak for themselves. This couple is fun and they made their wedding fun for everyone that was there! Sarah and Chase, part2…stay tuned for part3 :: the wedding reception is cooking for your viewing pleasure!
By the time we got set up for the ceremony, they were pronounced husband and wife. They told me the ceremony would be short and sweet and they were serious! I was given the heads-up there was going to be a spectacular recessional to Chris Brown’s song, Forever and there was! I am so glad I watched that episode of The Office when Jim and Pam had their wedding, I did my homework and I was ready
You know your Grandparent’s are cool when they do it too!
sarah + chase | WEDDING IN GARLAND pt1
Chase and Sarah’s wedding took place in a beautiful historic Church in Downtown Garland. Sarah booked me for her wedding a year and a half away and leading up to their wedding day, I was able to get to know the couple and we had a blast! I learned that if you say cuss words in front of Sarah, she blushed first then laughed and Chase laughed first then laughed some more. I learned that Sarah’s mom was the teacher who occupied my Aunt’s classroom before my Aunt. I learned that Sarah’s niece is cute as a button and her family is one of those families that genuinely cares about everyone around them. Thank you Sarah and Chase for choosing us to document your day and tell your story! It was a blast…stay tuned for the ceremony….HINT there are sunglasses and dancin’ Grandparents!!! Thanks to Anna and Jason for helping me rock the last wedding of 2009!
kacie + john | ENGAGEMENT @ STONELEIGH & THE MEYERSON
Kacie and John are two folks that could get me in trouble as a photographer. Their willingness to go ANYWHERE in Dallas I (or they) suggested made our engagement session an absolute blast! The Meyerson was a treat. We arrived and were a little under the gun to shoot and get out due to another event scheduled for the evening. We worked around all of the decorations and managed to find some fun places! Enjoy the show and thanks for stopping by.
Kacie and John had to stretch and get warmed up for the rest of our session together
The Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas has such a rich color palette and all the history of this hotel is so fascinating. We had to take advantage of the big red couch, because its Kacie’s favorite color!

Thank you so much for the crazy fun day with you engagement session….it was a blast!
Kacie didn’t want the fun to end…her expression when I said our session was over:
and Johns….(:D)
that’s a wrap!
brandi + holman | WEDDING IN ROWLETT pt 3
Welcome to Brandi and Holman’s party!!! These two educators really know how to get down. I was so excited to see the details of Brandi’s wedding unfold. She met with me before and told me about the apples…how perfect! I love it when the couple personalizes their wedding. I was also privy to hearing about the “Andres”, but I had no idea how fun that group was. If you want to get up to speed on part1 and part2, head over and meet you back here for the party!
brandi + holman | WEDDING IN ROWLETT pt2
Brandi and Holman were set to have their Rowlett wedding under a beautiful canopy of trees, but alas Mother Nature had some different plans. She decided to rain for two weeks every day before their wedding and the ceremony was moved inside. The grounds were too soggy to have the wedding outdoors. It was a gorgeous wedding ceremony. They were surrounded by all their loved ones and it could not have been more intimate. We rushed outside after the ceremony to grab some images before the sun went down and the light was gorgeous. Brandi has the most contagious smile. I couldn’t help but smile when I was editing this wedding. I made sure to give you some outtakes from the groomsmen formals. They were a mess! I was in hysterics when I saw these! Check these lovebirds out and be sure to leave Brandi and Holman some blog love!
