Does this set of images really need text? I was blown away by what I had to work with on Sunday – it was totally worth it to only get a few hours of sleep after shooting a wedding stag the night before. Yep….enjoy this set until you get to see the real deal – it was such a treat to work with such a fun gal!
Wedding days are fun for so many reasons; one HUGE reason, the big reveal of the gorgeous bride! Stephanie is a gorgeous gal and her bridals are beautiful! I had so much fun editing these images I smiled nearly the whole time. Her eyes just dance with delight. Yes I said dance…call me crazy, but that was the thought going through my mind while I was starring at the images. Oh, now its time to talk about the day of her bridal portraits. Most folks bring along there MOH and their Mom, but this gal brought an entourage and I am not talking about Jeremy Piven and the HBO series, she brought Mom, future Mom-in-law, future Sis-in-law, AND GRANDMA!!! I felt like I had an audience, but they were gracious enough to hold their applause until the end.

Ladies and Gentlemen……START YOUR….well….you get the idea. Back to the blog today is Dara, and boy is she ever back! Her bridals were actually shot in two parts; part one is for Patrick’s eyes ONLY. Part two is all you get to see, unless you know Patrick and have something you can blackmail him with! I love, love, loved this girl. We have almost the exact same eye color, so that was an instant connection for me. The eyes ARE the window to the soul, right? Dara and I met while I was shooting a wedding in Febuary 07′. At the time I was 8 1/2 months pregnant. Yeah, I know, I’m a trooper. I shot that wedding in house shoes and all. She knew if bed-rest and an enormous baby belly couldn’t stop me, then nothing would. I met Dara and her twin sister Tara at our initial consult. These two ladies are the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Dara can be pretty quiet, so when she showed up for the first part of her so-called “bridal” session dressing the part, I just knew there was a tiger in there somewhere. Dara, you saucy minx! I picked a few of my favorites from our “traditional” session to show you guys. How can you not love her? She is just so adorable. Don’t forget to leave Dara some blog love, ’cause she rocks!
Ok, reason #4156 this bride rocks; She walked down the aisle to a string quartet performing a little ditty called Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen! Then she handed off her bouquet to her Man of Honor and didn’t take it back, even after the pronouncement of Husband and Wife. So guess who had to carry them down the aisle? Jesse! I LOVE THIS GIRL! I noticed during editing that a person was peering down from the 4th floor window of Old Red…..I see dead people! Take a close look at the photo, do you see dead people? Or is this an old boyfriend?! I could have shot them all night against those black and white tiles. Simply marvelous. It just shouted nostalgia. Thanks for swinging in and checking out part duex of Leighanna and Ben’s day. Yay! As luck would have it, I was able to go downtown with Allison and shoot some bridals in June. Shooting downtown with Allison meant I would get to see the Magic Yellow Taxi, so I was super-stoked I was able to go with her. Mmmm….the bold YELLOW against her soft dress and calla-lilies, G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!! After that we scooted over to the heart of downtown Dallas and checked out the historic landmark Old City Hall. A stop to the SMU campus was next. This bride nailed every pose thrown at her, and that lace dress was simply a dream. Ahhh, long veils and wind make me weak at the knees. Be sure to leave her some blog love even though she has already been taken off-the-market!
Meet hailey + kyle, these lovebirds have been together a long time! Both Moms were there to vouch for their NINE year courtship! Wow! this is just a sneak peek – stay tuned for the rest of the session. The hotness was burning up my hard drive, so I had to let a little out to vent the steam.

They were married on a beautiful July day that surely was created just for them. All the particulars were in place; the Historic Old Red Courthouse in downtown Dallas, brown tuxedos, family heirlooms, and a few pair of Chuck Taylors to round it all out. No detail was overlooked or out of place. Well, maybe a few things were out of place. Ben had a Best Woman while Leighanna brought her Man of Honor. A little out of the ordinary for most, but not for them. For them they were surrounded by the ones they love and the ones that love them. With all this love, warmth, and joy, there was an abundance of astonishing photographs taken throughout the day. I feel fortunate to have been a part of something so wonderful. Especially because Leighanna’s original photographer fell through at the last minute and I was lucky enough to have been chosen to document this occasion. I know you will all enjoy these images as much as I do. Don’t forget to stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 when we get to see them party into the night. (The names and faces of those images will not be changed to protect the innocent!
